Marble is a modular font that I created over a 3 week time period. When coming up with a name, I wanted to make sure that the word I chose portrayed a visual idea of what the font stood for. I chose “Marble” for the purpose that I felt that when you think of marble there are two things that come to mind, the flowy and rounded pattern within marble stone but then also the sharp edges of marble counter tops. When first thinking of a grid that this font would be created from, I wanted to ensure that I maintained a simple grid system.
